My airplane subjects are very limited, pretty well whatever flies in here and this time of year it's almost all Beavers and Otters. Got this yesterday. I thought that panning stuff would be easy, just set the camera and track the subject right? I know now it's not quite that easy, I have nothing but respect for the skills of you people who who pull off those great shots. Any tips are much appreciated.

He must have maxed out the rpms to get that prop blur at 1/250 second. Any tips are much appreciated. Don't feel bad when you have to throw some away. We all do. ;)

Well, ok... If I have to...
Little more water bottom right - little less trees top left.
And that's being redonkulously critical.

Now my head is beginning to swell, doubt my cap will fit in the morning. Seriously though after throwing hundreds away I finally got a definite keeper, feels good.
Interesting about that airplane, I used to work in aviation maintenance in this area many years ago and she was one of mine, along with a few other DHC a/c and Grumman Geese and 185s, God knows how many hours and engines she's had since the mid seventies.
