the 10Gb MD is a prototype and I would be curious as to cost when it comes out, but for size...

Pretec already has a 12GB 80x CF type II card available for purchase (only about $10k)

However, while looking about I discovered the price for 8GB cards has dropped to reasonable cost levels (per GB, not overall), You can get about twelve 8GB CF cards for the price of one 12GB card at this time. If the 10GB MD is priced similiarly that could be a good thing. But it has to be available first.

I have this mental picture of me buying an 8GB card and setting my old 10D to small-fine jpeg. The shutter will probably go before the card is full.

Wow,. that 8GB card is actually reasonable.. still under $100.00 per GB and its a fast Ultra II :)
