In insect mode can jump 40 ft. for a distance of .1 miles... kick a hole in 1/4 inch steel. In robot mode can fly 30 mph up to 100 miles. Sub-machine gun fires 300 rounds per minute. Very vulnerable as insect and flying in high winds."

Nope, won't work... Back when I had an original megatron (think it was in the late 70's early 80's - don't remember but it was when it first came out and I was REALLY young) - I was flying with my family and the airline made me put it in a little manila envelope which went with the baggage attendant and I got it back after we landed (the airport was kind of small back then in hawaii).

My usual setup usually is my shooting table, and two 550ex, ST-E2 and a 580EX II, sometimes, depending on the effect I want, I will mount the MR-14EX and let it trigger the other speedlights (especially, now, after Canon fixed the issue with the 5DII and 7D not firing the slaves).

Wow, I'm really impressed with most of the pictures in this thread...most of them look completely professional!

I figured I'd give it a shot. I just got into Photography, so all I had to use is my 60D, Tamron 17-50, a desk lamp, and my good old Zaku. The only Gundam action figure I own that isn't missing an arm or a leg, or made from mismatched parts :lol:

Katodog! I LOVE the first picture of the gun, cuffs and stuff! The lines of all of the objects are razor sharp and accentuated by the lighting. Very artistic and amazing. I am a firm believer that you don't need to have the latest greatest stuff to get great results and you have proved that with your shots! BTW, what lens were you using? Cheers!

Some pretty cool action figure shots. As far as I know I can not get anything like these locally. I have been interested in Danbo for sometime now. I think I came across the robot about 2 years ago. I recently acquired one.

How do you take pictures of that? It looks like boxes, is it an action figure? It looks computer animated..Are you asking me? That is Danbo. A cardboard robot from the Yotsuba&! manga series. You get them through e-bay. Kind of expensive. There are two different sizes. 5" (13cm) and 3" (7.6cm). Both have lights in the eyes that light up. The head, arms, and legs articulate. The larger version has a replacement head of the human character that is wearing the cardboard robot suit. The larger ones also come in different styles. Plane (like mine), amazon.co.jp box markings (most common), and 7-11 box marking (very rare and expensive). The small version only come with the amazon.co.jp markings.
