I have had my new 450D for a few weeks now and ventured out in the snow today to try and take some pictures...

This is probably as close as I will get to a self portrait but would love some feedback and pointers on how to improve.

First one is just wonderful! Having the ball centered works for me in this one...good conversion, nice a crisp reflection...nothing too harsh..I like it.:D

Hey, nice shots. Did the same thing while my girls were out playing. The BW one is very very good. Like it much better than color version.

That's a cracker of a shot.
Like the first most personally and you can't tell you are holding a camera (well at least i can't) which is good.

Great stuff:D

Tank you for the comments, I prefer the B&W image too, my wife prefers the colour.

I am not sure if I am surprised at the amount of learning I am doing with my new camera, was shooting with an S3 almost exclusively in Manual mode for about 3 years prior to moving to a DSLR and things seem to be much more complex. Although the quality of images on the rare occasion I do get them right are far superior to what I was achieving previously.

Cracking shots! I like both but I think the bw edges it.
