Last Series
Finally, I was sick and tired of looking at such great photos with no opportunity on my end,:lol::lol::lol:
Excellent job, we are working on fly-ins at our little local airport and would love to have the planes that you have.
Keep up the good work.

Gotta make hay while I can. Come May, our little corner of the world basically goes into shut down mode for the summer and not much flys. :(
Glad folks like these monthly efforts. IIRC, we've got three, maybe four more of these for 2010. Definately through April and maybe in May as well.

Damn your traffic is killer... Everything is all covered up or in the hangar now in the great white north...

170s,140s and Mustangs? I like all these shots and I'm feeling just a twinge of envy at your access to them Jay but mostly I envy your air, so freaking dry and clear, mine is most times wet and filled with particles of whatever.
That red 140, I'd hate to be asked to dress a ding out of that prop

Hey Jay, which lens did you use for that last shot of your plane? And did you mess with the sky to get that gradiation, filter or is that just the wide angle nature of the lens used? And where is Jimmy Hoffa buried and why is the sky blue and my leg hurts when I do THIS, why? and, and, and... ;)

We're definately in the throes of the "Why we live here" weather right now. Check back with me in late July... I hear you on that prop. I'm thinking that's a Sunday "go to church" plane that gets extra TLC from its owner. It's c l e a n...

5D Classic + 17-40mm f/4L .. 1/500 @ f/8 ISO 100 Image was washed through CS4 with separate masks for the sky, the horizon, the plane and one more just for the empanage so I could hold the whites. I probably should have done two RAW conversions to bring those back just a bit more. Hoffa is in the endzone at the Medowlands, the sky is Blue because Red would clash with the scenery and if your leg hurts when you do that, well, don't do that... ;)

Well Thank You Very Much. That's very kind of you. Like anything, it takes practice and a willingness to experiment and fail. Not every frame's a keeper but I'm working to increase the percentages every time I go out. :D

Beautiful pics as always... thanks.
Isn't that a gorgeous little airframe? Thanks for weighing in...

Glad you like it, thanks. Someday, shots like that will be from the air (I hope...)
