My uncle borrowed me this lens. On my way home at 21.30 I saw this deer crossing the road. photo's were taken handheld/AF mode/iso 1600/TV (1/10 and 1/6)/AV 5.6/400mm

The photos are not sharp but given the circumstances I think they are reasonable.
The deer were in dark forest and the AF had difficulty to focus.

Have been out a few times with this lens and wish it was mine.
First I didn't like the Push and Pull zoom, but given the wildlife situations I have faced it is a great lens to have out in the field.

i suppose if your shooting handheld at 1/6th of a second your lucky to end up with anything, be nice to see some photo`s of those deer when youve got more light to play with

That's what I was thinking when taking the photo's.

Those darn deer! They never cooperate. Under the circumstances, those are pretty good.

That's why I posted the photo's. Never thougt to get any result with such a low TV.
Next weekend I will go back again in the early morning. It can only get lighter so better results should be possible.
Now just see if the deer want to cooperate
