Im in the UK and am planning a trip to Canada soon.
the usual travel insurance is £1500 baggage cover max. WAY less than a 20D a few L lenses and a laptop.
Anyone know where to get one trip holiday cover with extra baggage allowance???
(BTW my home policy doesn't cover it either)

I'm sure this won't help you since it's different country but still. I'm flying to USA on Friday for holidays and having for more then $10.000 of equipment with me I just didn't feel right without insurance. I called few insurance companies here in Slovenia and most of them were offering normal travel insurance which would also cover laugage, but only to amount of 500eur. On the end I ended with insurance company which insures my house and for not to big bill they will insure my cameras too. For me it was around 100eur for 30days, so it was worth. It's completely separate insurance policy and has nothing to do with home policy, so based on my phone calls last few weeks you need to ask for policy which covers camera equipment robery and damage.
PS: In Practical photography there's flyer in every issue for one insurance company in UK and they don't have too big prices, but since it's only UK I always throw it away. But since it's your lucky day I just picked up new number from my mailbox and as always there's flyer :)

PS #2: I have no idea if it's good insurance company or some scam, but I hope it will help at least a bit. Have nice trip.
