I made this today.. very interesting to me. I can relate to her and those eyes are speaking to me.

But I am stuck between colors.

I am very much inspired by Steve McCurry's color works from India. I don't think I have ever seen Anything so lively, so colorful, so real - on a computer screen...

The color version is very dramatic for me. The color of her dress tells me that its turned pink from red after years of use.. Her skintone speaks of all the years she has been burnt under the sun.

However, when I turn the colors off - it seems more calm.. and less dramatic.

Personally, I would keep it color, but make it a bit warmer. Bring out the colors in the clothing. I think that is the best way to go. Again, just my opinion.

i agree, don't get me wrong i like the b&w but if the colors were brought out a bit more the color version would be even stronger..

Thank you for your suggestions guys.

Here is what I now see from my not-so-calibrated setup

I like the bw because it makes me focus on her face. GREAT shot.

yeah, you are right, the b&w does bring you to the face a lot better. and if that's what you want to connect with, then well sounds like the answer to me! :)

That is interesting as her face gets lost in the B&W to me.

Both are nice, although I would slightly favor the B&W.

I would bump the contrast and blacks on the b&w version. I think that the b&w would look better with some post-processing, but it's all personal taste. It's a great image, regardless, though!
