Are you capturing your images in RAW format or Jpeg?

Do you possibly have Photoshop or another imaging software open at the same time? Like Paint Shop, or Picassa, etc.

If your capturing in Jpeg and you have a Windows based system, a simple solution might be to NOT use your Zoombrowser but instead just connect the camera (plug in play is a godsend!) and open up "My Computer", and navigate to the icon of the camera and in there you'll see all your pictures. You can then just "Copy" and "Paste" then into a new folder on your hard drive.

Let us know if that doesn't work!

Have you run all the updates available for Zoombrowser? Likewise, is your OS up to date?

But as long as your just using Jpeg files I think you'll find the Windows way much easier and quicker. But if you start dabbling with RAW format things could get tricky! You'll need that Zoombrowser to work or another 3rd party software like Photoshop CS or RAWshooter. Good Luck!

Windows has no automated download features that ZB does. Personally, I do all of this in Adobe Bridge, since the preview, classify, rename, sort, and copy portion of the workflow can be combined into one app.

But for someone more familiar with a Windows/Explorer environment it can be alot faster than using a 3rd party software such as Bridge (which is only available with Photoshop CS2). I mean come on, we're talking either 'copy & paste' or if you have two open windows (or Explorer), drag and drop! Back to basics!

Plus not everyone that comes to this forum can afford CS or CS2 ya know!

OK, so in your opinion this forum is not for making recommendations and sharing what works for you? I mean come on, we're talking about using free software that came with the camera. No, not everyone can afford an expensive app like CS2, but the advice given is read by many more than just the original poster. CS2 is new enough that many may not know how to use all of the features if they do have the software. Believe it or not, many people are uncomfortable doing simple tasks using the standard programs available in Windows, especially Windows Explorer. It is easier for them to use task specific software such as ZoomBrowser or PS. I don't think that my advice was unreasonable, and will no longer comment on posts you make that are directed to me. I will await to hear whether the updates worked for Zarkann.
