Here are several shots from a recent game. Even though I did a custom balance with a grey card, I still had problems with color balance.

WB looks pretty good in all. #1 is a bit 'wierd' but others are nice. What helps mine is to desaturate them just a bit. Makes skin tones look a bit more natural and keeps the whites from turning neon and the reds from taking over. give it a try on one of your shots and see if it makes 'em any better to YOUR eyes.

Those look good. What was your lighting? Was that with the 40D & 85 1.8?

RGV Photo, yes, used the 40D and 85 1.8. Lighting wasn't too bad as I've seen worse. I was shooting at 3200 ISO, f/2.0 and f/2.2, SS 500. I did use noise ninja as well to clean up a little.

Your shots cleaned up nicely - nice job. Can you submit these to MaxPreps or do they still demand that you use strobe?

Thanks, they require strobed images with an ISO of 800 or lower so I didn't submit.

LOL, thanks VinnyC01. I saw some of your recent strobed shots, looking good!

In the cheerleader shot, I like the symmetry-almost like she had a mirror behind her.

Thinking it is the not white bal that is off, but the exposure. Maybe add a small touch of saturation too. (but I am looking at a screen that yellow-tints everything right now)
