Very nice Mitch, very nice. That felt makes those flint objects really stand out. Very nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Jim. Yeah, the black felt is great. Really makes the stuff pop. I should have made it clear in the first post, these are real spear points, made of real flint, but they are not made by ancient indians. In fact, they weren't made by indians at all. These would be classified as "Fabulous Fakes". :mrgreen:

I had an opportunity to make some fakes one time when I was working for the Department of Natural Resources way back when using real flint and deer antlers. It definitely took time and patience. Very nice photos!

Thanks Elizabeth. I never tried it myself, but a friend was extremely good at it. I think the most impressive part was how he could knock off a blank from a larger piece. They were amazingly thin. He just had a feel for the stone. :)
