Hey everyone, noticed there was a full moon tonight so I went out and picked up a 30 dollar tripod, set my 20D with 70-200mm f/4L lens on it and took some pics of the moon.
This is my first attempt at 200mm, f/11, 1/125th, ISO 400, -2 exposure compensation, spot metering.
Lemme know what you think!

Haha yea, a 1.4x t-con would be nice, but I'd rather just save up for a 100-400L or something. My 200mm will do for the time being I guess. :-)
Nice shot Nikolas! It's cool how you can see all the craters. I was hoping I could get something like that in mine, but I guess my lens just doesn't have enough reach.

If you're shooting -2 EC, wouldn't have been the same if it was 0 EC, and ISO 100?
Anyway, nice shot for a first go. :)

Hahahaha, good point Wazza. I did take a few shots with ISO 100 and 0 EC, but I played around with settings, took about 16 different shots, and this gave the best results.

Errr no, changing the ISO won't change the relative exposure it would just increase the apperture and or decrease the shutter speed to compensate. If he shot at ISO100 without exposure compensation the exposure would be two stops brighter than what he got, if he shot at ISO 100 with a -2EC he would get roughly the same exposure he got at ISO 400.
