hi guys! i just got this lens maybe a week ago. after researching for a bit, i decided to convert it to native eos mount so i can use it in my 5d. for now, i just fixed it to 1.2 since i already have the 1.8 if needed. here are some random shots after converting the lens.

1. very first shot after the conversion. my brother

5. my brother's civic vti. this was shot at ISO L. i don't know if the ISO caused the heavy vignetting

Nice job, bro. If you don't mind me asking, how much did this setup cost you?
Nice shots!

Nice shots!

got this lens for $80 converted from philippine peso then bought a macro reverse ring for $8. it took me less than $100 to make it work.

That sounds like a really good deal. Does it focus to infinity? If not, what is the maximum focus distance? Thanks, I'm just curious.

Great shots for a great price! I am a little confused though. Can you only shoot at f/1.2 or is that just what the shots you were posted were shot at? Thanks

50 meters ???????
I have got an adapter. but I took the lens away (pictures were almost unusable) so I lost infinity, but my range is only one meter which makes it also unusable.
I wanted to change the mount, but on 5D and 5DMKII you have to shave the mirror !!!
So I gave up

Get me one of those 85 Ls for $80 in pristine condition, and I'll give you a $50 finder's fee!

I got one in absolutely pristine condition, but it would take a hell of a lot more than $130 to get me to part with it.

The conversion is interesting, but I think I will keep it for a new FD body and use that as a film rig. It would be interesting to try shooting with film. I heard T-Max and Velvia are the greatest things ever.
