Hi this the first time i have played around with focus and aps taken with a olypus e410 witha 14-42lense

Welcome on the forum!
I suppose you shot this on a tripod with a camera that has some sort of image stabilisation. Because the stabiliser seems to be "hunting" which shows. Or you did it hand held which does ot work with such long exposures.

Did you process the colours or how did you end up that way? I like the top one colour setting. But it should have been sharper.

These aren't my cuppa...the colors are bright( as in hurt bright.lol.) and its just all blurry.but to each his own:D

The first one is kinda interesting with all the oversaturated colors going on. I don't think the picture is going to be most people's cup of tea, but the most important thing is that you like it.

Your horizon in the first is crooked and it's a little distracting. I played around with the image a bit and found that a slightly tighter crop is better for the left and bottom sides. I specifically left out the transition from white to orange in the divider on the middle left edge, and the overpass railing. The railing hurts the composition a lot, I think.

I can't say as much about the second one. There just isn't enough contrast to draw me in, and it's blurrier than the first. Too much roadway and not enough background.

I'll agree with this. If you are going to take it that far, go the extra mile and do some more PP to it.

I'm guessing these were mistakes that appealed to you and you weren't sure how you do it...

What sort of look were you going for?? Maybe we can shoot you some pointers.

I'm guessing, but were you going for something like this?
