First Strobe Shots Please CC

Santa brought me some hot lights and a Calumet Genesis 200 along with some other goodies. My wife volunteered to let me test on her since she was 39 weeks along and wanted to get some maternity pics in before she popped. Please take a look and advise on how I did with the lighting. I literally pulled everything out of the boxes and started shooting her, so needless to say I was pretty much flying blind.

I think you did pretty well for flying blind. Lighting looks pretty good.

Side note- congrats to you both. We just had our's 10 days ago :)

The first pic looks a little hot on my monitor. The shadows seems somewhat harsh as well. The second one is perfect. Love the black background.

for just taking out the lights and shooting they look good. first does look a bit hot and maybe could have used her pants unbuttoned. you could try and hide the line right above the hip.
