The Hole

OK, I need some advice on this.
I want to get the view through the hole in the tree to be more clear as there is a stream behind it ,if you took this what would your camera settings be.Remember please this will be in a woodland area with low light.

How far back the stream is will be a factor, so you'll have to find the hyperfocal distance for the lens your using. It's the distance you focus at to get the foreground & background in focus. Or you could try the Landscape setting & hope the cam figures it out for you.

or I would just set the camera to focus with the center point only and aim that right at the stream, and make sure you've got a somewhat small aperture set. of course as photosguy mentioned this will depend on if your lens can focus all the way to the stream from that position. it could be out of reach for the lens.
