PhotoShop Lock Layers Icon

Hi All, does anyone know a way to TURN OFF the defualt "background" lock icon in the Layers pallett... I have to copy the layer to make this go away and that would be a pain on batch processed files for a client...

If you rename the layer to anything other than "background", the lock goes away. You can create an action to do this easily.
