I'm about to get Circular Polarizer for my 28-135 IS lense and could not decide which one, I'm looking for something like B&W, but still there are several filter and I don't know which one is the best.
If anyone using this lense and B&W Polorizer, please let me know which one better to get.
thx

I don't think you'll go far wrong with any of the B&W CP filters.
Which camera do you intend to use.
The reason I ask is on the 1 series cameras I have noticed if you use a ,lets say non slim, CP filter and a cokin filter on a wide angle lens ( 17mm for example) the frame of the filter holder is visible.
For that reason I would suggest a slim CP filter, making sure it has a front thread.

thx lomond, I have 20d and going to use polorizer with 28-135 IS (my walk around lense), so probably don't really need slim filter for this lense.

Maybe thinking ahead – it might save you buying another later and increase saleability. I don't think they are much more. On the downside, check that you can use your lens cover if it's for a walkabout lens. It might make a pretty slow lens unless in very good light though.

probably this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=9777&is=REG
there are several variations:
1) multicoated or not. definately multicoated (MRC).
2) slim or regular. slim filters prevents vignetting on wide angle lenses. b+w slim CP's do not have front thread but comes with push-on cap. for your 28-135 with 20D, you should be able to use the regular (non-slim) version without vignetting. it's also cheaper.
3) warm or not. warming effects can be added in photoshop. so no warming.
4) kaesemann or not. kaesemann CPs are basically super heavy duty filters that are well sealed and can be used in extreme climatic conditions. they are also expensive. so unless your needs call for it, no kaesemann.
so there you have it: B+W 72mm Circular Polarizer (MRC) Multi-Resistant Coating Glass Filter for everyday use on your 28-135.
