[Original colours: http://www.pbase.com/milou/image/45115317] (http://www.pbase.com/milou/image/45115317%5D)

Taken this morning at 04:45am 17mm 20 secs @ f/22

Hurst Spit is a 2-3 mile long shingle bank leading into the Solent with a 16th century castle at its end. My aim was to catch the sea as mist hence the long exposure. Lovely time of day though.

Cheers :)

I like it a lot. The choice of colors works well with the foggy effect you created. Cool. :)

I love this type of effect.
I think both work well.

What did you do for 17 minutes and 20 seconds, nip back home for breakfast :?

Great shot.

Great picture! And I don't agree with the others, I prefer this version. It's more... magical or something, looks really nice!

Stunning shot.......the colour one does look good too and I also like your choice of tone for the b&w, looks like a selenium toned print, well done.

Its a great shot/idea/composition. But I'll second those who prefer the natural colors. It has something mystic.

Cheers. Must admit that the original has just a tad of pinkish tinge from the rising sun which probably tips the balance in its favour.
