Love that finish. I had 2 LP classics in bullion gold "goldtop" never plaed them enough to justify keeping them. So I bought a new camera instead......that gets used!

nice shot and great guitar! I have the same finish on my standard. How did you light it?

beautifully lit guitar. Love the LP looks (nice top, BTW) but play strats exclusively.

Thanks for all the compliments on the guitar itself. I do really enjoy it. I seem to split my time between the guitar and my camera lately, and it's great fun when I can combine both!

The only light is a standard table lamp with a compact flourescent in it to the above right of the picture, which is the corner of the room. I've found that I get the best colour from the guitar with fairly oblique light. If the light is too straight on or if I use multiple light sources it really diminishes the flame of the finish.

This pic is using only diffuse sunlight coming in through a window off to the side and the guitar looks completely different.
