Is the quality of this image from my 300d with Canon 75-300 IS good? I'm trying to decide if I should keep the lens or return it. All help appreciated. :)

Looks good to me, besides the fact that your DOF is too shallow so part of your bird isn't in focus.

Same here... Good shot but shallow DOF...

Yup. Tighten up the aperture to increase the DOF. The IS lets you do that. Nice shot.

Looks fine, I have this lens too.
I loved it on my Elan 7N film body, I love it more on digital.

It's definitely abit soft but that's to be expected with that lens at 300mm f5.6.
I assume these were the settings you took it at?
