Here are a few from today - please let me know if they look too noisy? Trying the high ISO setting on the 40d again since I get to shoot from the penalty box with no glass in this rink.

Also, are they a little overcooked? I shoot them about +1 exposure and then add about 1/3 stop in PP.

Thanks in advance -

I am guilty of over-exposing the ice myself but usually the white jerseys end up exposed pretty good.. the jerseys on these might be a bit too much but I'm not positive and will leave that up for debate.

they don't look all that noisy to me. and exposure looks good on most of the shots

These are good. Often I have to give up a bit to the blown ice look in order to get as much face as you have here. As mentioned it didn't hurt the white jerseys so that's good.

I'm a big fan of shots like 2 & 3 as I know that's what the athletes love to see of themselves. (judging by my daughters and their friends) I'd crop these both a bit tighter to begin with, but especially since the ice is a tad hot - you'll minimize that look as the non-value-added ice is what'll you'll lose on the crop.

Cheers.

Thanks for the comments, guys - I'm having a little monitor trouble and the shots look different depending on which computer I use. Time to recalibrate, I guess.

Darcy - I know the girls love the shots like 2 and 3 and they are so hard to get - they even love the ones that just show their numbers - they have downloaded all the shots to their Facebook pages! (I shoot all the games through the season) Maybe I should try a portrait crop on 2 and 3 - I'll give it a go

Thanks,
