So, despite my ownself, I managed to get into the right spot at the right time with most of the right equipment. The moon was really that color this evening; it's been hot and smoggy, and the moon coming up looked like an orange hanging in the sky. There is no PSing here, just some sharpening. And yes, I was surprised. Tickled, but surprised.

That's neat! Good thing the moon isn't white, or you could be dealing with some copyright infringement! ;) (E.T.)

That is a moon pic I can like. Pretty nice. I tried to do a daylight moon shot with some geese flying by. Sort of a different take on the "sunset with seagull" cliche. No luck.

It really is a neat shot. I was in a photography class today, and showed it to the folks there. They were all rather complimentary, too.

It really is a great 'catch'...and I'm just pleased it happened.
