I'm about to purchase a tropical chameleon (originate in tropical areas), I've seen many cage setups regarding the subject, but I wanna know what you guys are using to keep your chameleon in its area. I've heard it isn't best, but it works to use a regular plexi/glass cage found at pet shops. I've also heard its a really good idea to hand build a cage with 2 x 4" and wire mesh, making it vertical allowing the creature to climb around in its enjoyment.
I just would like to see pics of your setups, or ideas you have of a setup.
Everyone can go ahead and post photos of their lizards/chameleons

I just joined POTN a few minutes ago and, of course, searched for chameleon shots first ;). Since your post is over 9 months old, you probably have everything under control by now with your chameleon husbandry. I've been using standard 2x2x4 ($80) screened enclosures for over 6 years for my chameleons and I like them and feel that my chameleons have benefited from them too. You may have already discovered the www.chameleonforums.com/forum.php too by now. I've posted there often and also co-founded the South Bay Chameleon Keepers group that meets in the Los Angeles area usually once a month.
Here's a few of shots of my setups and my chameleons from past and present:
