either pre built or made to order? Livebooks does custom work but they don't even come close to full screen...I'd even settle for like 80%....

Anyone?

Most people design a website for a fixed site, usually 1024x768, because they want a constant look and feel across however someone will browse. It's very awkward to make something look good at 1024x178 and 1920x1200. As images don't scale well by letting the browser resize them you'll end up with either small images dwarfed by the text or what was seemingly a lot of text before reduced to two awkward to read lines across a really wide screen.

If you can't DIY, then you'll most likely need to go to a pro who can do it properly for you. You need to work out how you want the site laid out and how you'd want it to change when it is stretched onto a larger screen. Then someone needs to make that work for you. Not many "kit" sites will scale nicely that I've seen.

got ya...well in that case, I'm assuming livebooks 920x562 is as big as it gets to be reliable?

You can create a fixed width site of anysize you want. Downside of that is that anyone with a smaller screen browser will have to scroll horizontally to read the site. People forgive that browsing on their mobile phone but not on a laptop or desktop.

Pass on livebooks, never heard of them but looking at the site it all seems fairly generic (site preview thing wouldn't load for me which ain't a good sign). Personally if you are going for a generic I'd probably spend less money on hosting and use some free software for the site with editable templates. I've seen people do some amazing things with wordpress which I'd never consider for a full site.

ShowItSites (http://showitfast.com/) does full screen, check out their Showcase (http://showitfast.com/#/showit-sites-featured-sites/) for samples of sites in full screen.

I have a livebooks site myself but Showit makes some cool sites and DJ is a cool guy and inspiration to many.

Free JAlbum.net - Will build excellent galleries & now has free hosting, too. A lot of the skins are made by users & I'll bet that they can tell you how to modify one of their skins.

My website is full screen and scales up to about 1500 on the longest end. I'm actually thinking about changing it.

just to throw in my 2 cents i hate sites that force it self to open in full screen and never give you a option
