I shot this in Greece on a recent holiday, we was sunbathing buy the pool and this guy kept coming back and landing on the exact same spot until he got hungry and flew off in search of food. There was another one nearby too, whenever he flew to close to us the one near us would chase him off and they'd end up having a dog fight ;)
He was there for about 3 hours, after about 2 hours I couldn't take it, I had to go back to my room for my camera :) it was also pretty freindly, I've only got the 18-55mm EF-S but it let me get close enough to get a decent shot. Coolest insect I've ever seen :D
