UPS just delivered my 20D. Just seeing how my first frames look on this board. Obviously with a little photoshop tweak. Amazing camera! I can not put it down.

The quality is truly astonishing. How can you ever tire of seeing such images.
Good job and congratulations.

I can't put mine down either. People who see me in public without it will comment that I look vaguely familiar but don't know who I am until I mention that they have probably seen me with a camera around my neck! Students at the high school where I teach (and am yearbook advisor) are starting to call me "the camera lady."
I just hope you enjoy your 20D as much as I have! :)

The selective color is great. Nice job. The detail and definition you are getting is really amazing.

ah.. I really would like to move from my 300D to the 20D, but they'll be time for that.. especially since I'm going to spend $1,000 in lenses in the next week. Maybe christmas bonus time! Congrats, the shots look wonderful.

Hey thanks for the comments guys. I know there is a bit of debate about the 18-55 kit lens not being sharp anough but I see no problem. What do you guys think?

Very simple really... I just used the sponge tool and ran it over the background and foreground a few times.
What lense did you use for those great pictures?
The 18-55 Kit lens. Again, I have read some comments on this board about that lens not being sharp and it seems sharp enough for my tastes. Cheers!

You know when I ordered this from B&H they had a different kit that made the distiction that they would send you a "USM" 18-55 lens (which was more money). I did not get this kit because I could not tell the difference between the lenses. When you look at canon's website it does not state USM under the picture but when you click on the 18-55 EF-S it then clearly says its USM. Check it out:
http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ProductCatIndexAct&fcategoryid=149
And here are the two kits:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=359446&is=REG
I am thinking that B&H knows they are going to send you the same lens.
Thoughts?

From here (http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Canon-EF-S-18-55mm-f-3.5-5.6-Lens-Review.aspx): (further down the review)
Please note: As far as I know, the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens is only available as part of a Canon EOS camera body kit - or used. The buy button will point you to the USM version which should have a better focusing motor.
I think there are two different versions of that lens.
One is with the kit (the one you purchased).
The other is the actual USM 18-55 that you see on the Canon website.
Now of course I don't know anyone IRL that has these lenses so YMMV.
Cheers!
