Hi,

This post to know if you noticed the same mismatch I discovered with the "physical" serial number of my cameras and the "software" serial number.
Here is what I discovered : looking at the serial stuck underneath the D30 body (123501126) didn't match the serial number inside each picture (camera serial number: 0466-01235). I saw that sn with acdsee in the metadata section of the file.
"1235" is found in both s.n.

But here are the s.n. of my new D60 body : 1130702838 and 27F6-04365 for the s.n. inside the pic.

Do I have to get worried with this mismatch ?

Thanks for your comments.

Hello

For me, it's seems that one is decimal and the other is in hex (base 16)

So in my world, Acdsee has one more bug to add to the endless list.....

Yes, ACDSee's serial numer is in hex. But when you convert, i can't get the same result...

Hello

I pasted Your serial number into the calculator in Windows 2000

I pasted:
1130702838

Got:
436527F6

If, as usual with this product, swap some data, eg the first and the second double word.

You may end up with:
27fs-4365, and If You, as AceeDcee, can’t count, add a 0 to the second section.....

My five cents is the distance from version 3 of Acdsee You get, the more problem You get.

Well, this looks OK for the D60.
So I shouldn't get worried.
Thanks Roine.
