1 person, 1 room, 1 photo, several poses?

Not sure where to look for this or what it is called. I have seen a few photos where there is one person posing in different locations in one room on one photo. I would like to try this at my house around my pool table. I want to use one person and have them in different poses around the table in one photo.

Set your camera on a tripod and leave it there. Don't chance the settings or location of camera. Take the first shot with either a remote or timer. Get in position, SNAP. Get in the second position you want, SNAP. Keep doing that until you get all the positions you want. Merge them in Photoshop.

Great fun and taken just as described above. Once you have the images in Photoshop, drag them all onto the background image so they are stacked as layers, on top of each other and then carefully use the eraser to reveal the different parts of the image. Hope that makes sense.
