im taking my first photogrpahy class. not sure yet what the teacher wants us to have. just wondering what you think i should have.

55-250mm
17-70mm
sunpak 383 flash
tripod
there anytrhing else you think i will need for class or out of class?

You should have everything you need. I am taking an "intro to digital photography" class and I have the 40D, Sigma 18-50, Canon "Nifty-Fifty", Canon 70-200 F4 and a tripod. I am getting a flash in about two weeks. My gear is MORE than I need for this class. Enjoy the class and get the most out of it.

I took B&W FILM photography in high school. I had an Olympus OM with a 50mm lens (I think it was an f/2?). I made out ok. Developing the film was kind of a pain, but I loved making prints!
This was back in 1994, so not quite the "stone age" :lol:

Film photo class at my high school requires a film body, a 50mm lens...... and a BOATLOAD of film!!
