USGP Weekend photos, tried to capture more than cars.

I probably bumped into some of you guys crowded around the fence cut outs. LOL. I see alot of you were there too. I usually had a tan vest and a tan hat and a red headed assistant. All they guys around the fence holes were pretty cool, every one was cordial and chatted a bit when I asked questions about their cameras. I was there from Wednesday afternoon until Sunday evening. My wife and I had a fun time camping in the CocaCola Lot1. We were camped right on the corner across from the track. It was sweet.

I wanted some good panning shots but the real estate at the holes was very limited and the cloud cover was very annoying. I got some thru the fence that turned out good but, meh, they are thru the fence. I got to practice the pan shots on the porche cup cars , there was hardly anyone there for photos for that series.

I tried to get some shots of the people that were there in additon to the cars. I shot over 2000 photos and here's what I have uploaded so far:

I still have to go thru the porsche stuff and the people stuff some more. I was really impressed with the images I was getting from the S1 for how cheap a camera it was. I can't wait until I have enough for a 20D.

This one blew me away. We were sitting in the upper deck of the main straight across from the pit exit for these. I can't believe the S1 got this close and crisp.

The rest of the photos are good, too. I need to find a race venue somewhere and practice some panning and such.
