I just started using this Droplets trick. What a time saver for batch processing. Simlpy create an Action for the task you wish to automate. Now create a Droplet (found under File>automate>create droplet) using the action you just created and save the Droplet destination to your desktop. Choose a common destination for the new processed files to go to (ie. make a destination folder). The Droplet creates an exe file icon on your desktop. So from then on all you need to do is grab your folder full of RAW photos and drop them on the Droplet icon on your desktop, then sit back and let it do the work for you. PS will automatically open and process all the photos...
Full process from RAW to fully processed jpeg, about 20s per image on my laptop.
