View Full Version : Help: Shooting Tethered with Canon 50D

Hello,

I am trying to shoot tethered with my Canon 50D. However, the photos are coming out to be completely black. Even in live view setting, everything is black. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I connected the supplied USB cable that came with the camera to my Canon 50D to my MacBook and opened Canon EOS Utility v2.50 for remote shooting.

Am I missing something here? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

lol. Lens cap off. I could see from my viewfinder, but on the computer I can't see anything.

Do I need to plug in a monitor cable or is the usb is enough ??? ???
