A little shaking is OK.

(Sorry, I know I should have, but I just couldn't resist.)

I didn't know the Richter scale went that low.
Well, I guess I did, but I've never before seen anything that low reported as an "earthquake".

Breaking news!
Some cups heard rattling in OKC!
Startled kitten rescued from tree!
;)

4.0 is described as " fealt by most people, slight damage, some dishes and windows broken, some cracked plaster, trees disturbed. 60,000,000 BTu released."
Doesn't really sound like a walk in the park, you can bet someone is an unhappy camper in OKC today.

Still an Earthquake bud.

I'm not disputing the fact, just the significance.

The significance is they usually come in groups.

Nostradamus is appearing to be right. That's significantly creepy.

I actually saw a "documentary" on History not too long ago about a couple of guys who predicted and then found the location of an extremely remote Mayan shrine on an island in the middle of nowhere.

Pretty freaky what the Mayans had figured out so long ago.

Honestly, the timing would be perfect. My oldest daughter doesn't turn 13 until two months after the end of the world. :D

As the song says, it ain't necessarily so!

The lower Great Plains and Mississippi valley have been hit by earthquakes, some quite severe. I suggest you google the New Madrid Earthquake.

California has been a little busy the past couple weeks.

Keep track of earthquake activity here: USGS Earthquake Hazards Program (http://earthquake.usgs.gov/).

Nothing new to me.
True that!
I'd much rather live my life and deal with an EQ if it happens than spend hours on tornado alert or evacuating from a hurricane's expected path or stuck at home after a blizzard.

I have a bike and rollerblades in my truck, emergency supplies in several places.. and I don't have to keep one ear on the weather channel to know what's coming.

I just hate it when they hit at night... because you know there will be aftershocks to wake you up too!
