Hi Everyone,

I am in Australia, and am buying a Canon 70-200L f/4 from B&H shortly.

They only sell USA lenses internationally, so there will be a $25 rebate card enclosed (i expect).

I can't use it because i am down under, but is it still of any use to someone who doesn't actually have the lens? (Let the flood of "I want it" emails begin)...
I don't know how the rebates work because we don't have them.

Thanks

Rob

Don't think there's much chance you'll be able to help someone out. I got a box yesterday and the Canon offer requires ALL OF the following: (1) copy of sales receipt; (2) copy of warranty card; (3) original cut-out from the box; (4) claimant must be US legal resident; (5) pinky finger from the left hand. Okay, I'm kidding about the last bit - but unless you can get the sales receipt to show it went to the US I'm afraid your nice thought will have to be just that.

Not sure what you meant by B&H only selling US lenses internationally. They will sell you the "grey" import lenses too, but they have to be returned to B&H if a fault develops during the warranty period (or you can simply pay for it to be fixed locally). The USA items include an international warranty that will be honoured in your own country - yes - even New Zealand! :)
