SOK is correct, it was achieved using wire wool attatched to string, and the foreground lighting was achieved by waving some cheap battery powered christmas lights.
Camera: Nikon D300
Exposure: 84
Aperture: f/8.0
Focal Length: 18 mm
ISO Speed: 200
