If you delete the sent items, you'll free up some room. One of the reasons I would rather people e-mail me, but it happens.

If you want to keep an archive of your PMs, select them, download the selected items to your computer (select one of the options on the drop-down menu on the bottom right) click ‘Go’.
Once saved to your computer, delete them from the inbox.

I know how to download them but the formatting is lost. I thought maybe there was a paid membership thingy with more bells and whistles

Sorry, we don't offer that. You can download a free reader and you archive your PMs to your computer then read them via the reader with the formatting.

I've found, though, that there is rarely stuff in my PM box that I actually need to keep long term. :D
