I really like it but...
It almost seems like too much yellow. I don't know if that's the way it really looked or if you wanted it to look this way. I thought I'd try to chill it a bit by going more to the blue side. I adjusted levels, hue & saturation and added a gradient to darken the sky using PS CS4.
This is just to give you an idea of a different look.

Thanks navydoc!
The light was really that yellowish, in the winter days you can get these tones and also pink ones.
Sometimes this is due to the amount of dust coming from the Sahara desert that is suspended on the atmosphere, and although you can't see it, it makes the reflection on the snow together with the sunset light looking like that.
I processed the photo with Lightroom and the only 3 things I did were:
Reducing the exposure
Increasing the vibrance but not much
Increasing also a bit the fill lights
Thanks again for your comment and you edit!

Cool shot. The tilt is a bit annoying. The sun is blown but it's a nice-looking blowout. The reflection on the ground is not as nice, though. It could use a bit less yellow, perhaps, but I wouldn't remove it all like the edit, it's a nice tone.

At that altitude it already is a bit more yellowish than orange but I think navydoc went to far in his processing. I like the original better and it feels and looks more natural. Is that somewhere in the Pyrenees or have you got that much snow in the Sierra's?

I think a tighter crop would work, too much foreground for me. I like the first edit the best, more colors.

What an awesome place and photo! I prefer the original with the soft yellow, almost globular glow that comes with a nice sunset.

That is Sierra Nevada, it's amazing the amount of snow we have up there. Have a look at this picture I also took on the same afternoon, this one is my favorite:

Thanks Intimadator, the shot was taken on the Sierra Nevada mountains, in Granada, south of Spain, at 9500 feet high.
From the top of Mt. Veleta (11150 feet) which was quite close to where I took it you can see the Atlas mountains in the north of Africa!

Nice shot.
I don't think there is to much yellow. Maybe a tad to much blue in the forground.

^ I really like that edit, removing the bluish cast in the foreground makes the snow look as one would expect it: i.e. white!

Nice shot Ale_50D! I think your first edits in color were just right. For a second there I thought you were talking about the Serria Nevada in California. I spend a lot of time up there and I could not figure out where that was. :)
As far as the crop goes, just remember... Some people say "TomAtoe", I say "TomOTOE"...

Wow... in the original picture (first post), you get the feeling of actually looking into the real sun. Almost scary, but a beautiful shot indeed :)
