Does anyone have any experience with these converter lenses and the G1?
I'd like to hear what you think...
Thanks all!

I don't recommend the Megaplus telephoto. Very bad vignetting -- I have to crop every 2048x1536 shot down to 1700 x 1200 or so unless the corners happen to be displaying something dark anyway, and that's at full zoom. Anything less than full zoom and you are shooting with a circle of darkness around the center of your image. The image quality itself seems otherwise okay.

Same experience here. The price was good and it looks awesome on the G1 but the corners of your shots will definately bite.>:(

Besides Tiffen, Canon (of course) makes what are reputed to be decent telephoto and wide-angle lenses, and there are lenses from Fuji and Olympus that can also be used with the Canon. I have no experience with them, but I have seen pictures taken with them and they don't display vignetting.
That said, I think the long and wide lenses are niche lenses unless you are shooting pictures that specifically require them. Most of the time when I set out with a telephoto lens I feel more limited than I do when I am just using the built-in lens.
