Is it my monitor or are these pics completely OOF?

They look OOF to me as well; they are a little small too..........

MAGical'..........remember wide-open this lens has a really narrow DOF. That means maybe an ear is in focus and the rest is OOF. You have to be dead accurate on your focus point. I don't see anything in focus in the first shot though.........could be operator excitement on getting a nice piece of Canon glass!!

No, Mike, it's not your monitor. The first image is the first picture I took with the new lens. I think the second pic improved a bit...?

Yes, I did buy it at PI but this lens is not readily available in the shops' stock. Wasn't able to find one at Hidalgo. Thus, have to make do with the shop who will order the item for you.. The lens came after 3 to 4 weeks I asked the store to order it for me. I believe they have to order it from Singapore. Cost me around PhP19,000.00.
