Here are some shots I got last week at our games. I shot both JV and Varsity because I was finally able to stay for the Varsity game.

First 5 were shot Ambient, f/2.8, ISO 4000. 1/500th. Last 3 were Ambient, 1/640, f/ 2.8, 4000 ISO.

#1 Varsity player dunking at the end of the game. My only problem was I was on the wrong side of the court.

#6 JV - Not sure what happened to the white balance on this game. It looked ok on the LCD but it looks a bit yellow to me.

#7 JV coach during a time out late in the game.

#8 JV - Big man getting rejected by the point guard. That's what happens when you try to shoot from the hip.

I tried shooting these a little tighter. I am not sure I like the legs cut off, but was giving it a go.

Nice job catching the action. With basketball, I am resigned to the fact that I am going to be on the wrong side of the court and something/someone is going to be clipped :)

I gave a very quick edit of # 6 in Elements using the Remove Color Cast eye-dropper on the white uniform.

I have been using custom white balance lately in these high school gyms and it has helped out.

WOW.....I have an old version of elements and I am still learning. I think I will have to try to find that and figure out how to use it.

After those pics, I tried using custom on my next two games and I think it worked out pretty good.

Thanks for the comments.
