You can either do the right thing and get a three-quarter rear view with something interesting in the background, a bit of lean and some dust.

Or, on the other hand, you could look for alternative rear views away from the track.

Yes, my experience is shooting cars from the rear can be really challenging. Of course, I'm always happy to revert to shooting the rear ends of..."cars".

Regarding pic #2, what was your exif info? I like how you captured the action of movement, were you panning, and if so what speed? Did you have to obtain a crack pass, errr pit pass to get in position for the shot? Were you given a monopod to use, or did you provide your own??

Hi Bruce, no, not me. Goodwood was a bit too far for me to go I'm afraid as I have to be at Croft for two days this weekend.
It was difficult capturing number 2, trying to pick a focus point and control the breathing to prevent camera shake. :)
