I just got home from 3 weeks in the Arizona desert shooting for our unit. I had the privilege of getting down in the boom operators room yesterday on the flight home. This was over the midwest somewhere. Although I couldn't get into the actual boom operators chair, this is what I saw from the left seat.
In all I took about 600 pictures which I'll be processing over the next week. I hope to add more here. I plan on framing this and giving it to the pilot flying next week at work :D

Very nice indeed....
I take it that's a 161st KC135?? I'm trying to get back in the AZ Guard after a 9 year break.

When you say shooting for your unit, I'm left wondering if that's your career field for the AF?
Great shots again..

I'm an ammo troop. I'm also a back up wing photographer. It's not my career field but when the other guys are busy I'll get asked to shoot. Works for me :D

Thanks for your service and for sharing these.
Hope you enjoyed your time down at D-M. Several of my aviation shooting compadres got some nice shots of your birds in the pattern.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/leftofedge/photography/IMG_2771.jpgthe 2nd pic needs some cloning out of the 3 white spots above the top F16 and some cropping and a bit of sharpening may help.
