I did a shoot with my wife last night. This is probably my favorite shot of the night. This is actually one of those photos that I will probably end up with a large print of.

Hate to tell you this, but that picture creeps me out. Looks like it came off of a domestic violence website...

Figured you were going for a mood like this when your watermark is "sinful images." I was thinking this looked like a great shot for any substance abuse theme.

Actually a lot of my photos will have messed up themes. I like dark dreary style art.

I think the wall is a tad blown out. I like the style, maybe add just a tad more contrast or recovery light to help perhaps?

Since you dig the freaky style. I took these last night.
Had to resize them a lot to get them to fit in an attachment. lol.

I like the machete photo, but I really do not like the one with the pistol. This goes against my years of firearms training in so many ways. Although if you are trying to shock the viewer, then mission accomplished

Thats what we were going for. The weapon was not loaded and double checked. By myself and my wife (who is in the photos). So no worries.
Glad you liked the photos though.

I agree with everyone above. They are disturbing but interesting. Unless it's the look you're trying to obtain, you could have a bit more highlight detail and the lower two seem to need some color correction. I agree with DragonDan on the improper use of firearms, be very careful my friend. I do think you're achieving your desired results, particularly on the lower two.

The lower two I made the color look that way. I was going to for a post apocalypse type deal. So I got rid of the warm tones and blue skies. It actually didnt take long to achieve the color effects I was going for. I did most of it in light room 2 and a little bit in cs3.

I like the machete one, but the other two just don't do it for me. The first one of your wife does remind me of a substance abuse PSA photo. I just don't think it brings out anything positive about her. Even if you had done the same type of photo but had her eyes a little less covered and sharper, it would've at least brought out that one beautiful quality in her. It is just kinda, blah for me.
The photo with the gun just has too much going on for my taste, and it all seems kind of contradictory. I do like the last photo a lot though. There's my $.02 :)

The gun to the head was not something we had planned. Most of the shots were with it aimed at the camera. Maybe you'll like this one more.
I really dig the one of my wife in the bathroom we captured exactly what we were going for there.
Here are 2 more. One from the gas mask shoot and one from the night before.

the gun owner in me says nix the photos with the gun to the head and especially with the finger on the trigger. My NRA Range Safety Officer training brings the 3 basic laws of firearm safety to mind and you are breaking two of them. Art?

Yes its art. Its also an unloaded fire arm. Its one of many that we own. We are not some rookies who have never handled a weapon. I know its not a toy. I know it is dangerous to play with guns.

I am working on getting some fake blood. I have to buy it online since my little sh*t hole town doesnt have a good prop store.
