I have not been able to find anyone who likes this picture yet, so I just had to post it here to hear what people thought.

I am very grateful for all constructive criticism and suggestions I can get.

Too much of the frame is out of focus, and fighting for control of then image.

I would crop here. Makes the same point, but more concisely, I believe.

Missed it by that much.....
and surely you don't think the lines look realistic?

Gissan, do YOU like it? If so, that's all what counts. Who cares what anybody else thinks!

Yes, I surely, deeply think the lines look realistic. And do you know why? Because they are realistic.

Yes, I like it, but I wanted to ask if anyone had any suggestions on how to improve it.

You must have cat hair on your sensor ;). I've never seen lines like that outside of a cartoon...

I agree with the poster who said if you like the image, that's all that matters. It's somewhat gratifying when you're creative vision pleases other folks as well, but sometimes you have to just enjoy your creations yourself despite what everyone else thinks.

It's water drops from the tail and the legs, but I'm sure I got some cat hairs somewhere too! Hehe.

So true, thank you.

For me , it's as joedlh said "like the one that got away" but hey, I like a lot of shots I've taken that others might not like. Unless you're shooting for a client, shoot to please yourself. Jeff

They're streaked from panning in a slow shutter speed shot.

That's amazing! I've never seen such stark streaks caused naturally - I guess I haven't done it right ;)... they really look like they were drawn in by an illustrator. Cool.

I have not been able to find anyone who likes this picture yet, Consider your audience. Maybe you should show it to some podiatrists? :D

As a rule, I love well done blurs. For me, this isn't one of them. That doesn't mean that you should stop shooting them. Just be prepared to throw a lot away.

I would crop it to just the legs and the water drop streaks (leaving some sky to the bottom right.)
