i came up with a reall cool looking font to use for my signature on my pictures...my question is...is there a way to save just my signature so i dont have to make it everytime? i have photoshop cs2, that way i could just hit a hotkey or load a file and drag the signature wherever i want it?

thanks in advance!

In Elements you make a "signature brush". I would assume you do the same in CS2, but I don't know the steps. Once it is a brush you can place it wherever you wish on your photo and make it the size you wish.

Here are two tutorials, on how to make good watermarks. I have used both methods.

I set-up a file for my wife that does just that...the drag and drop idea.

I took the image she wanted to use as a watermark, stripped out everything but the core image (deleted background, etc.), resized it, made the image all white, and took the opacity to about 30%. I placed this image on its own layer and put the background layer to a bright color to make it easier to see the almost transparent image. I then saved it as a PSD for her.

Now when she is editing pics all she has to do is drag the watermark image layer onto her picture. She has total control of the placement and opacity so she can tweak as needed for each image. Flatten the layers and save as.
