I just got my 20D, took some quick flash pictures and now starting to load the Canon software on to the computer. I've loaded everything except the "Digital Photo Proessional Ver. 1.6" software because there's no instructions about this software. Do I need it or is it just duplicating the Canon software on the "solutions Disk". It's alot more complicated than my G2!
My first 2 pictures printed out great using the old zoom browser software - nice sharp focus compared to my indoor G2 shots.

DPP will allow you to process CR2 (raw) files. There is a PDF user manual included within the program (click Help in the toolbar).

Thanks. I loaded it and it works. I think the RAW is more trouble than it's worth. I'll sticking with JPG's for now. I never cared for the raw pictures form My G2. Thanks again,

You need to post process RAW using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, or similar. They can look pretty flat and uninspiring straight out the camera. But JPG's are fine if you prefer them.
