After weeks of rain on Thursday night, things are looking up! We had a lot of cars out tonight and a a few were still there when the light was close to "right".
This is Dave's '34 3-window Coupe. Notice the suicide doors! You don't want one to open while you're going down the road!

A 327 bored .030 over; roller rockers, & a 450 Holly carb. It has a 'Vette rear end & 3500 Stahl converter; Sanderson headers.

Great shots, nice car!
The way the exaust pipe is hooked up to the header looks kinda like a mistake, though.

It's a bypass system that allows you to run wide open at the track, and legal emissions on the highway.

A sweet little ride Frank. Did I see this correctly? The back window rolls down? :D
BTW, I hope you got photos of that Green 68/69 Charger sitting right there behind it. ;)

Nice shots Frank!

I do have a question. You are always able to provide lots of details about the cars with your posts. Do you hang out and talk to the owners while taking notes, or do you just have a terribly good memory?

Most of our shows down here start late in the day because of the heat. I usually get caught up just shooting to try and catch the good light while it's available. When I sit down to do my post processing, I find that I have very little information to provide concerning the cars.

I was just curious, because you seem to have it all together and I'm just jealous. . .  .

Thank's guys, and Marie!

Arpi, these were shot at 8:30PM. I haven't used a polarizer on a car in decades. ;)

Bruce, that's Peter's '69 Charger R/T. Got it & I'll post it next week as I'm going North to see what's in Mom's garden in a half-hour. Just to tantalize you, I also got a Pro Street 63 Nova SS, another '34 Ford, and... :D:D

John, I've started writing down the details this year as I forget too much if I don't.
I take a few shots between 6 & 8:30 just to be sure that I have something but I'm waiting for the "late light" which IS "the good light" so yes, I talk to them a lot! Mostly 'cause that's what they're there for, to talk about their babies. Except for the ones who tell me that it's their wifes car! ;)
More re "the good light" here if you missed it.

Thanks so much Frank. Enjoyed the car lighting tips, and glad to know that it's not just me that can't remember all the details.

I'll work on that "late light" thing next time. We have a club, and by the time everyone gets there, compares their latest mods, and walk around to check out the other cars, they want to get together to talk about the next meet. That usually happens during the "late light" that you are referring to. I just have to put my priorities in a different order I guess.

Thanks again for the reply and the info. Looking forward to some more shots. It's looking like another nasty weekend here, so I don't know if I can contribute anything this weekend or not. We have a front moving past us on the east coast, and we are at 80% chance of rain today and tomorrow. If it clears out in time for me to get my car cleaned up, I'll probably go to a meet Saturday evening. . . . hopefully. It sucks living in the tropics this time of year. . . . .

My dad had a 69 charger in a green color. I'll have to show him that when it goes up!

I had that on my '69 Caddy... ;)

Great shots! I wanna see the Charger too!
