I know Scott Bourne wrote "88 secrets to selling and publishing your photography", but are there any other books out there dealing with this topic that you guys would recommend?

Quite honestly I would read the photo sales books. But also read things that are a bit more broad. Books that cover the psychology of selling, and buying. The photo books will give you the details of the specific subject. But a broader understanding will take you a lot farther as you understand what needs to be done to be successful. Wether it is trying to submit a photo for publication or getting a mom to buy more pics of her kids.

My favorite example of psychology at work is an experiment a documentary movie on the psychology of buying ran I think in London. They took over an end cap in a grocery store. Stocked it with soup. Placed a sign with the price, for one weekend. The next weekend they only added the word "sale" to the sign, And counted how much more they sold even though it was the exact same price. The third weekend, they only added the words "limit 12" to the sign. It was shocking how many people bought 12 cans. Even though the price was the same for all 3 weekends.

you gave me an idea thanks, but I'm still looking more for distribution markets than for selling tips. I really appreciate the thoughtful answer though.

If you mean places to sell to.... go to the book store and get "The Photographers Market". It has a listing of about 10,000 places to sell photographs. From small club newsletters to magazines, to books, to stock agencies.
