How to check 1DS shutter actuation counter?

Hi from a newbie!

I have recently purchased a 1Ds Mk 1 from Ebay and I wondered if there was a way of checking the total number of shutter actuations from new? I have heard that there is but haven't managed to discover how...

I also wonder if there is a hidden date code to see when it was manufactured?

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

There's a program around to work it out, I can't remember what it's called sorry, google it or do a search here and it should pop up.
